Campsite near the beach in Tarragona

In Salou there are eight beaches and a few creeks, which constitute one of the major natural resources, not being directly accessible, they are, however, more peaceful. Many of them are coves surrounded by nature, which helps to consider them as very attractive sites.

The main beaches of Salou are:

Playa de Levante: It is characterized by its extent of about 1,200 m. in length. It can be followed by following the paseo marítimo Jaume I, which borders it in parallel, and on site there is a wide variety of services and facilities for leisure, both for young people and adults.
Playa de Ponent: Known as one of the longest beaches in Salou, about 1,100 m long, it is bordered by the paseo marítimo Miramar. It has a gentle slope overlooking the sea and, with its shallow waters, is ideal for children.
Playa Capellans: It is bordered by a pretty waterfront and is bordered by natural cliffs. Its shallow waters and gentle slope make it ideal for swimming for the whole family.
Playa Llarga: Because she is far from the tourist places of the surroundings, and surrounded by pine woods, she has the charm of tranquility. It can be accessed from Replanells Street, not far from the road from Salou to Tarragona, and it also has a pedestrian waterfront.

Cala Llenguadets: It is a small cove surrounded by nature, its waters are transparent and shallow. It can only be reached by foot, by taking the Camino de Ronda which leads to the Faro de Salou, or by taking the rue de la Torrassa.
Cala Penya Tallada: Of great beauty, it is a small cove located between Punta Roja and Penya Tallada, and whose rock face penetrates further into the sea. It can be accessed through Penya Tallada Street.
Cala Font: Of fine sand and flaked rocks, the cove is naturally delimited and is easily and safely accessible. It is an ideal place for scuba diving, and its peaceful waters allow you to enjoy the seabed where many animal species live.
Cala Crancs: Located on the other side of town, it is one of the most attractive coves. Flanked by rocks populated with vegetation and fine sand, it is slightly sloping and offers an entrance into the sea, which is why its waters are ideal for swimming.

The beaches of La Pineda and the coves of Cap Salou, protected from the north winds, are of fine sand, clear and shallow waters. In July and August, average temperatures range from a minimum of 21ºC to a maximum of 30ºC, with a pleasant and gentle breeze that keeps the atmosphere cool. One of the main characteristics of La Pineda Platja is its exceptional microclimate.
